Woman Critically Injured, Second Pedestrian Hospitalized In South Jersey Crash: Police

Two pedestrians were hospitalized, including one critically injured, after they were struck by a car in Gloucester City, authorities said.

The man and woman, both 51 years old, were hit near the intersection of Route 130 North and Market Street, the Gloucester City Police Department said in a news release on Friday, Dec. 20.

Officers arrived at around 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Police immediately gave the victims first aid until paramedics got to the scene.

The two were rushed to a nearby hospital. The woman was listed in "critical but stable condition" and the man was in stable condition.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed as of press time.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office was helping with the ongoing investigation.
